Airolo-Pesciüm Cable Cars

Description

Nested in the heart of the Alps, Airolo-Pesciüm is the perfect destination for mountain lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. From the base station in Airolo, the cable car takes you to Pesciüm in just five minutes. Here, wide, quiet slopes are ideal for sweeping carving turns or helping the children take their first steps on skis. From Pesciüm, the cable car continues up to Sasso della Boggia, from where you can reach the highest point of the ski area: Varrozzei, at 2,265 metres. Up here, red and black runs await, with some steep sections where you can put your skills to the test. Thrills and fun on the slopes are guaranteed. And did you know? Michela Figini and Doris De Agostini learned to ski on these very slopes.

If you prefer a gentler pace, explore 27 kilometres of snowshoe trails through unspoilt nature and snow-covered landscapes. And when hunger strikes at lunchtime, take a break at one of the mountain restaurants: local Ticino specialities will give you the energy to head back out. The perfect way to round off a great day on the slopes? Après-ski at Bar La Chièuna, of course.
